Hello. From the sound of it, I assume you're looking for a solution for monitoring gas consumption so you know when to fill up.

I have a solution that works great for me. I bought a voice recorder keychain from Radio Shack for about $12. I keep my bike keys on it. At each fill-up, I record the mileage. I listen to the message when I start my bike up to see how many miles I've gone since last fill. At 90-100 miles, I refill and record the new mileage.

Even after all that, I still had to go to reserve on the last late-night criuse I took. The bike just cut out on me. After an initial moment of "oh gosh no!", I remembered that I needed gas. Reserve saved me!

I hope this helps.
